Manifesto
AKUSON AKUSON
We are alchemists in a world that sacrificed magic at the altar of speed.
We assemble computer code and matter, bridging the gap between the cold, relentless precision of the screen and the warm, inevitable imperfection of the hand.
Identity
In January 2026, in Athens, we founded Akuson Akuson not as a design studio, but as a laboratory for experimentation in Neo-Materialism.
The Echo
«Akuson akuson, aküson, akusón». It's not just our name. It's an imperative of wonder.
It's the phonetic imprint of my grandfather's surprise, during summers in Draviskos, Serres, every time I presented him my childhood «inventions». It was the exclamation of the old world encountering the new.
Today, this echo is our compass. We strive to create objects that provoke the same astonishment, the same sense of magic. We continue the tradition of the «invention» —the ingenious solution— but using the tools of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The Phygital Art
What does «Phygital» Art mean? For us, it's the abolition of borders.
Our process begins in the intangible: algorithms, generative design, code. Where imagination has no weight. Then the baton passes to the machines: our 3D printers—pushed to the limits of their capabilities—give body to information. Finally, the return to the human: sanding, assembly, touch. No object leaves the workshop unless it has been «contaminated» by the human hand.
Where mathematical perfection ends, organic uniqueness is born.

Tenet I: Parametric Uniqueness
Traditional art is an accomplished monologue: the creator transmits, the viewer receives. The same work, the same immovable geometry for everyone. We believe in the aesthetics of variability.
Using custom-built digital tools—writing code late at night, under the light of screens—we break this mold. We introduce the concept of Parametric Uniqueness. The form remains recognizable, but the «soul» of each object vibrates at a personal frequency. It can carry an encoded message, a date, a memory that concerns only its owner.
The object ceases to be a foreign body. It becomes a personal artifact. We provide the shell and the technology, but you provide the meaning.
Tenet II: The Object as Trojan Horse
But matter is not the end. It's the means. Each of our creations is a «Trojan Horse» hiding a digital world within. The tangible becomes the key to the intangible.
We don't simply make decorations that stand silently in space. We make Connection Totems. The object can awaken from slumber and reveal its hidden payload: a digital experience that exists only for the eyes of its owner.
The physical is the anchor. The digital is the journey.
Tenet III: Democratic Multiples
We reject the elitism of the «one and only» work of art that gathers dust in a gallery, protected from life.
We draw inspiration from the Bauhaus aesthetic, and the ideas of post-object art pioneers like Spoerri's Multiples, Duchamp's readymades, and Beuys's social sculptures. We believe in art that is touched, that wears, that lives within everyday life. We don't produce industrially. We produce limited editions. Each object is a temporal imprint, a «moment» we froze in matter. When the series ends, the matrix is digitally destroyed.
The mortality of our objects is what gives them value: a reminder that, like us, they too ultimately obey time.
